Weaknesses: - Always sees the best in people, which can be difficult when they are obviously taking advantage of him but he can't see it
- He sometimes worries about his patients outside of his work, which affects his home-life at times
- Finds it hard to form romantic relationships. Seriously he hasn't had a date in YEARS
- It can be hard to unwind from his line of work, dealing with other people's problems all day
- Sometimes he can't stand up for himself and is taken advantage of
Overall Personality: Archie is a nice guy. He tries to befriend as many people as he possible can and is always up for helping someone in need, regardless of whether he is friends with them or not. Because of his helpful and friendly nature, he adores his work as the town psychiatrist. He takes great delight in helping the citizens of Storybrooke overcome their personal issues, of which he has much experience of growing up with terrible parents.

Despite his helpful nature, he is not very good with the ladies. He has never been on an actual date with a woman, partially due to his long tenure as a cricket. Luckily he has his beloved pet dog Pongo to keep him company, who he enjoys walking around town daily. He also has quite a few friends to keep him company too.

Overall he is a happy guy who will help anyone in any way that he possibly can, even if it means going out of his own way or sacrificing some of his own time.
History: He is formerly known as ‘The Cricket’. Archie had a troubled childhood and his parents could be described as being terrible. His parents, Martin and Myrna, were travellers and puppeteers who conned their way through several kingdoms. They enjoyed profiting from other people’s misery and were ultimately responsible for a small family of three being turned into wood for eternity. Feeling guilty about his family’s crimes, he left home and with the help of the Blue Fairy, transformed into Jiminy Cricket and remained by Geppetto’s side.

Jiminy was also a companion of Snow and Charming in the Enchanted Forest Kingdom before the curses struck and turned everyone’s life upside down, resulting in him turning back into his human form – Archie Hopper. Throughout all of the curses the town has endured, Archie has been there and tried to be his helpful and supportive self.
