A plotter is a spot for you to keep the character relations for all of your characters in one place. Here you can create one thread and edit it as needed to add all of your characters. Others can reply to the thread if they want to plot with one of your characters in particular. This is different from the plot request because this is when you have a specific character in mind that you want to interact with.
The template is not as daunting as it seems, and I'll try to make it as simple as possible to setup but if you have any questions, feel free to post them as a reply to this thread so we can help you and anyone else that may have the same question. Here is the code you will use.
Don't let the coding intimidate you, this won't be hard. Now, in the bottom of the create thread text area there ate two tabs, a preview, and a BBCode. You will want to paste this into the BBCode tab to start, then find the line that says placehold.it/200x200. Did you find it? It should be on the second line. That is where your URL for your 200x200 character image will go. If you only have one character then once you have that done you can go ahead and switch over to the preview tab. If you have more than one character, hit enter twice at the bottom of the code then paste the same code again and do the same thing for your second character until you have a template for every character you have. Now, in the preview tab, you can simply fill everything out! Easy right?
Now, If you ever make more characters and want to add them, you just edit your initial post, Copy this fancy little template again and paste it at the bottom of everything in the BBCode tab. Then once again switch to preview and fill them out. Make sure you put a space or two between the codes to make it look neat.
When you are finished it should look a lot like this, only better.
