Overall Personality: Due to feeling completely abandoned and alone in the beginning of her life, she has built a "barrier" around herself. It is hard to for her to give her trust to someone, but once she fully trusts a person, she is the complete opposite. When a person gains her trust, she will always be there for them and protect them no matter what. If her trust her broken, it is hard to gain is back, but she does believe in second chances.

Emma is also a very good leader. Once she has been given a task, she will see to it till it is finished. She will do anything to protect her loved ones, even if her life is at risk.
History: Before the first curse, she had always believed that she was alone and abandoned. She went from house to house, always being rejected. At the age of eleven, she lived in a group home. Where children like her lived, but she still always felt alone. Soon she ran away, which resulted in her meeting Lily. Lily was also from the streets,so she said. They hit it off, becoming good friends. They hid in a house that was vacant for the season, until Lily's father came and left Emma heartbroken.

    At the age of seventeen, she met Neal, whom she loved with all her heart. She spent most of her time with him, even stole a car, which is the same car today. Later he revealed he had been stealing watches, that was selling them. While waiting for him to find someone to the watches off of him, she was found by a cop. Later on in prison, she found out she was pregnant. When she had her baby, henry, she felt like she couldn't give him the life he deserved; She gave the baby up for adoption.

    On her 28th birthday, a suprise visit came upon her. Henry had shown up at her door with a book 'Once Upon A Time'. He soon brought her to Storybrooke, trying to get her to believe she is The Savior of the town. He finally got her to believe by eating a poisoned apple, and was woken up by True Love's kiss
